Discoteca Imaginaria is an audio docu-series covering the people, places and sounds that have shaped popular music. Each episode transports listeners through history to the greatest club on earth – the disco of our imagination.

Beginning in early 1990s, a confluence of radio stations (Radio Nova, Radio FG), record stores (Rough Trade, BPM), and club nights (Wake Up at Rex Club, Respect at Le Queen) in Paris served as the breeding ground for what would become French Touch. A mix of American funk, euro disco, Chicago house and French pop, this sub-genre of house would later be loved around the world. Acts like Cassius and Daft Punk proved French House was more than just pastiche, but rather a uniquely Francophile take on dance music.
