Nour Jan Presents is a multi-media platform dedicated to the intangible cultural heritage of Armenianness. Their recently released podcast, ‘This Diaspora Life’ is its latest manifestation, which uses oral histories and archival music to do ethnographic deep dives into different diaspora communities around the world. First season, Armenian diaspora. First stop, Beirut.
In tandem with their pilot episode, they created an exclusive mix for dublab, which showcases, in a more in depth way, the music featured in the podcast. Tune in to conjure ghosts and ancient futures with them as they follow the narrative trail of their elders through a soundscape of 60s and 70s Armenian Lebanese bangers.
