In a Mood
09.15.21

This month our guest, David Clingman, wanted to emphasize the mood of transient love and the migrations from manufactured to natural landscapes, so in the first hour of our show you’ll hear a lot of City Pop, Japanese Bossa, Brazilian Soul and Samba as he explores that concept. In the second half of the show we follow up with our personal take on transient love.
David Clingman is an eviction defense attorney and record collector in the Los Angeles area.

Every month, In A Mood delves into the foundational inclusivity of music by inviting new guests who don’t consider themselves to be DJs in the traditional sense, to showcase their own unique relationship with music. For the first half of a two hour long program, that will span multiple genres, each guest will have complete control over the music selection built around a central mood, concept or theme, providing a bit of spontaneity, originality and authenticity to a sometimes limited pool of selectors. In the second half, Nikole Guzmán and Michael Moeser create their own mix that encapsulates their interpretation of the same central idea.
